The Head of Engineering role

• Own the technical vision and roadmap, making architecture and system design decisions that scale with us.

• Build and lead a world-class engineering team: hiring and empowering top talent.

• Drive execution — ensuring projects ship quickly and to the highest standards.

• Partner with Product, Design, and Data to align strategy and priorities.

• Ensure robustness, security, and compliance as we grow in a regulated space.

• Push for innovation, introducing tools and practices that make engineers faster.

How you fit into the team

You’ll be a foundational leader helping us scale from scrappy startup to breakout product.

You’ll act as both a strategic thinker and pragmatic builder — comfortable getting in the weeds when needed.

You’ll care about clarity, simplicity, and developer experience — and you’ll love building teams that ship with joy and confidence.

Your qualifications could be:

• 7+ years in engineering roles, with 3+ years leading teams.

• Proven success scaling SaaS, fintech, or other complex systems.

• Deep experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and security.

• Strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical conversations.

• Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup.

• Passion for simplicity, clarity, and speed.

Bonus points:

• Familiarity with accounting principles, workflows, or systems.

• Startup / early-stage scaling experience.

• Exposure to emerging technologies (ML, blockchain, etc).

What success looks like in your first 6–12 months:
