End-to-End Processing
/END · TOO · END · PRAH-se-sihng/
tl;drEnd-to-end processing refers to automating a complete workflow, from the moment an invoice or transaction enters the system to the moment it's fully resolved, paid, posted, reconciled, rather than automating one stage and leaving the rest manual.
A lot of AP software automates the middle of the process, the matching, say, while leaving ingestion and payment as separate manual steps. End-to-end processing closes those gaps, so a transaction that enters the system on day one doesn't need a person to move it along at any point before it's done.
