What you get
What Stripe settles reaches the ledger as it happens: the payouts, the fees taken out of them, and the transactions behind each one. Card and gateway income stops being a month-end reconciliation exercise against a downloaded report.
Fees come across attached to the settlement they were taken from, so the gross-to-net story is already in the ledger when you close rather than being rebuilt from a report.
