Two weeks and a whole lot of product shipped

Welcome to Flash #5. It's been a busy couple of weeks here at Light. Here's what we shipped.
What we shipped
SaaS Metrics
MRR, ARR, NRR, deferred revenue. Most finance teams rebuild these in spreadsheets every month, and the numbers still differ between Finance, RevOps, and Leadership. When a contract changes, nobody can easily explain why. Light gives you one live, trusted source for all of it: MRR bridge, retention, earned vs deferred revenue, revenue waterfall, all driven from your contracts and ledger. Reach out if you want early access.

Physical cards
A real one. Plastic. On the same Adyen-backed flow as virtual cards. Contactless on, ATM withdrawals off by default. Reach out to your Customer Success rep if you want one.

Vendor credit notes can now be split across bills
Until this week, a vendor credit note had to be consumed in full against a single bill. That's not how credit notes work in practice, so we fixed it. Apply part of it, keep the rest open, allocate it later. Undo it, redo it. If you've been managing this in a spreadsheet on the side, you can close that tab.

Bank reconciliation is more reliable
A sync gap on the GoCardless feed had been silently dropping transactions for several customers since February. That's now closed.
Void a system-generated FX revaluation
If a ledger account had the wrong revaluation setting, you can void the bad revaluation and re-run it from the accounting period directly in the UI, without filing an engineering ticket. Open a posted or cleared FX revaluation, click the overflow menu, and select Void. The status flips to Archived and the reversal lines appear in the Ledger impact section. Available to Company Admin and Controller roles.
Large ledger exports
No more timeouts. Large ledger exports now run as background jobs, with an in-app notification when they finish. We cleaned up the slow database paths underneath too.

Small bits
Invoicing got less fiddly: duplicate a sales invoice or customer credit, default currency per customer, bulk-resend open invoices, and invoice sequence numbers no longer skip on errors. Stuck payments now have recovery paths instead of sitting in pending indefinitely.
Company stuff
Our Customer Roadshow kicks off next week, with Ron Baden, our new Chief Customer Officer, leading exec visits across our key cities. If you're not yet in the loop, reach out and we'll find a time.
Last week we were in Amsterdam for a Finance Hackathon with Lovable and Miro (more on that here), and yesterday we wrapped up another Hack on the 61st floor of McKinsey HQ in NYC. More hacks incoming right here. Sign up today!

Renewed team focus
Lastly, we've also been making some deliberate changes to how we operate. Delivery is shifting toward a more consultative, project-management-led model, we're deepening accounting expertise across our support team, and we're putting more product focus into payments, bank feeds, and e-invoicing. More on that as it ships.
That's it for Flash #5. Reach out with questions or feedback.
