Purchase orders got a major upgrade

Procurement teams can now reconcile bills against purchase orders without fighting the UI. A redesigned PO detail page shows a progress chart and bill status so you can see where each order stands at a glance. You can match or unmatch a bill to a PO in any status, a PO column on the bills inbox shows you which bill maps to which order, and a warning now appears before you archive a PO that still has bills linked.

Vendor notes on POs and PO templates without amounts also landed, giving you more control over what goes out to vendors.

Notifications, rebuilt – and now in every channel

Light's notifications used to live mostly in Slack. We've rebuilt them into one system that reaches you wherever you work: web app, mobile app, web push, Slack and Microsoft Teams, all from a single Notification Center and a single settings page.

Every notification deep-links to the exact screen. Approve, reject or comment on invoice approvals without leaving Slack.

And we've gone further. You can now ask @Light a question in any Slack channel, public or private. Things like: "what bills are due this week?", "freeze Sarah's card", "show me my pending approvals", or "what's the VAT rate in Germany?" No codeswitching. Just mention @Light and get querying. To enable it, re-authenticate at app.light.inc/settings/integrations/slack.

Contract import is on-point

We've moved contract OCR onto the same in-house AI that powers bill parsing. It reads prices, billing cadence and line items more accurately than before, and custom properties on the header now fill themselves in automatically. Nothing changes on your end. Upload contracts the way you always do.
