When a Nordic company starts to scale fast, Greenstep is the firm it calls. Greenstep began in Helsinki in 2010 as a one-person accounting office and has grown every year since, to more than 700 finance professionals across six countries. Along the way it has become the de facto finance partner for the region's growth companies: the team that keeps the books, the payroll and the reporting moving as fast as the business does.
Now Greenstep will bring Light to those clients. Together we'll move companies off the stacks they have outgrown, put agents to work on the invoicing, the reconciliations and the close, and give finance teams live numbers across every entity they trade through.
Early believers
Greenstep backed Light before most of the market had heard the words agentic finance.
In March 2026, they opened their Helsinki HQ to the sixth stop of our Global Finance Hackathon Tour. More than 250 finance leaders and 70 teams spent the day building on Light's demo account and live financial data, with no developers in the room. It was the most crowded Finance Hackathon we've run, and Greenstep made it happen.
That day told us a lot about how Greenstep works. They stay close to their clients, they want to know what comes next, and they're willing to put their own name behind a new way of running finance.

What it means for Nordic companies
Greenstep joins the Light Partner Programme as a founding partner. Its teams will certify through our AI Academy to deploy, monitor and govern agents on their clients' platforms, and work alongside ours from the first conversation to go-live.
For a growing company, that means one platform for the general ledger, payables, receivables and group reporting, set up and run by a team that already knows its local accounting, tax and payroll rules. Onboarding takes weeks rather than the eighteen-month ERP programmes finance teams have learned to dread, and the agents keep working long after the project team has moved on.
