Here's what our product team shipped over the last two weeks.

You can watch the full update above, or find it in notifications in the bottom left of the Light desktop app.

What we shipped

Withholding tax on vendor bills

Withholding tax shouldn't mean adjusting each vendor payment by hand.

Light now applies withholding tax to vendor bills, payments and postings in the app. Mark the vendor as subject to withholding, then check what's withheld and what you owe before paying.

You'll see Net, Tax, Withholding and Total Due on the bill, the payments tab and the bills table, so the breakdown is there when you need to check a payment.

We're rolling this out to selected customers. Contact your Customer Success rep if you'd like access.

Cards and receipt matching

We've made a few improvements to receipt matching, so there's less to work through manually at month-end.

Light now retries unmatched receipts within 48 hours. Fixes to Apple Pay and Google Pay matching also reduce the number of receipts you need to handle yourself.

Adyen transactions post when the capture arrives, so your books reflect the spend without waiting for settlement at period close. A daily check picks up anything missed.

Bill and invoice checks

Incorrect bank details are easier to fix during approval than on payment day.

Light checks bank details during approval and returns the bill to draft with a reason if they're invalid. Duplicate warnings link to the matching bill, making it easier to review a possible repeat before paying.

Failed purchase requests explain what to fix. Invoice uploads also flag inconsistent totals and unmatched customer names, so you can review them before posting.

Intercompany invoicing

We're rolling out intercompany invoicing to selected customers. It keeps linked bills and invoices in sync, taking some of the manual matching out of closing across multiple entities.

Intercompany badges make those documents easy to spot. At close, ledger reports show eliminations, and a dedicated task flags the entity pairs blocking sign-off.

Plus, all this

  • Connect your bank through Stripe Connect. No API key needed. Live from 20 October 2026.
  • Search agents by name, run them from setup and add longer instructions. Find the agent you need and give it more detail about what it should do.
  • Set a default tax code on customer records. Keep the customer's usual tax treatment on their record.
  • Post invoices, renew contracts and edit customer credits directly from list views. Fewer records to open and close as you work.
  • Approval conditions can match a whole user group. Select a group without adding each person separately.
  • Toggle Avatax on or off per entity. Control which entities use it.
  • Separate posting and document dates on customer credits. Record when the credit was issued and when it belongs in the books.
  • Payment purpose codes for Sweden and the UAE.
  • Redesigned accounting period page with audit history. Review period tasks and their history in one place.

That's Flash #14. For questions, contact your Customer Success rep or use the LCI assistant.
