Welcome to Flash #4. A busy few weeks: new people joining, a handful of product updates that have been on the list for a while, and the Finance Hackathon Tour is back for Season 2. Let's get into it.

Team updates

We've been growing, and we want to introduce a few people.

Ron Baden joins as Chief Customer Officer. Ron started his career as an accountant, has led customer and revenue teams across some of the biggest names in B2B SaaS, and has been a CEO twice over. He knows what it looks like on both sides of the table. As his first order of business, he's on a worldwide tour to meet our customer base — sitting down with teams to understand how you're using Light, what's working, and where we need to go next. Reach out directly at ron@light.inc if you'd like him to drop by.

Matt Vickers joins as VP of Product Development. Matt built modern finance software at Xero and Ramp. His view on most finance platforms: they push the hardest problems back onto the customer. Multi-entity consolidation, cross-currency reconciliation, real-time reporting. Light is built to solve those from first principles, and Matt is here to make sure of it.

Will Hale joins as VP of Sales. Will was GM at Monday.com and ran enterprise sales at AppDynamics and Salesforce. His job is to make sure we're finding the right customers and getting them to value as fast as possible.

Our new Head of Partnerships joins shortly too. He'll be connecting Light with the accounting firms and advisors who work closest with the businesses we serve.

Product updates

Custom fiscal years

Not every finance team runs January to December. You can now set any fiscal year start month in Light, and your quarter labels update automatically. No workarounds, no manual adjustments.

Stripe sync

If you already bill through Stripe, Light now syncs your invoices, credit notes, and payments in real time, so your accounts receivable stays accurate regardless of where you bill.

Copy and paste inside Workflows

You can now copy and paste nodes within any Workflow. Reuse a conditional, duplicate an approval step, without rebuilding from scratch. Small change, real time saved.

Airwallex integration

You can bill customers from Light and attach an Airwallex payment link for global payment methods and lower cross-border fees.

Indirect Cashflow report

Every company now gets a default Indirect Cashflow statement out of the box. No setup, no template wrangling. Operating, investment, and financing activities, plus a check line to reconcile against your actual cash position. Find it under Reports.
