Flash #6 – Bills that find their own way home
Bills now find their own purchase orders. Posting dates and invoice dates finally behave independently. And a few other things your finance team will notice right away.

Welcome to Flash #6. Here's what shipped over the last two weeks.
What we shipped
Bills now find their own purchase order
The Procurement Agent has handled purchase requests and PO creation since we launched it. Last week we closed the loop.
Drop a bill into Light and it links itself to the right open PO. The vendor puts the PO number on the invoice, the way they always do, and Light matches it automatically. No more manually hunting for which PO a bill belongs to.

Posting date and invoice date are now independent
Bills now have two separate date fields: a posting date and an invoice date. Previously they were one. Changing the posting date also changed the invoice date, which forced teams to track one of them in custom properties or accept the wrong date on the supplier document.
Now you set each one independently. Change the posting date to land the bill in the right accounting period. The invoice date stays exactly as the supplier issued it, with zero impact on your postings.
At month-end close, when you push invoices to the next period, only the posting date moves. Your books land in the right period, your original document data stays accurate and audit-ready.

Invoice PDFs now show what's been paid
Paid and partially-paid invoices now carry a payment section showing payment status and balance due. Customer credits are clearly separated from payments received, and balance due by entity appears on customer documents. This is live for everyone.
Partial customer credit allocation
You can now apply part of a customer credit to a sales invoice and keep the remainder open for later. Previously, credits had to be applied in full with no way to store the balance, which meant teams were tracking part-credit balances in spreadsheets. You can close that tab.

Plus, all this
Bank payments are now clickable. Open a bank payment to see its details and the related transactions.
Bankgiro support for Swedish entities. Swedish entities can now add a Bankgiro number to bank account settings and include it on invoice templates. Bankgiro is the primary B2B payment method in Sweden. Without it on an invoice, payment often requires manual follow-up.
Edit custom properties on published documents. You can now add, edit or remove custom properties on line items after a contract, sales invoice or customer credit has been published. Previously a wrong cost centre tag or missing project code meant voiding and recreating the whole document. The fix now happens in place, with a confirmation step and a full audit trail.
