The next generation of finance won't be built by software companies alone.

It'll be built with the accounting firms, advisors, consultants and technology partners that businesses already trust.

That's something we've believed at Light from the beginning.

As more finance work moves to agents, the role of those partners becomes even more important. Companies will need help moving off legacy systems, getting agents up and running, and making sure everything works as it should.

And they'll turn to the people they already know to make it happen.

That's why today we're officially launching the Light Partner Programme.

We've been building it over the past few months, working closely with some brilliant firms, and the response has been bigger than we expected.

Now we're opening it up.

The response so far

We've had a lot of conversations with partners over the past few months. And one thing has become pretty clear: firms aren't waiting around to see what happens with AI in finance.

They're already thinking about what comes next, what it means for their clients, and how they can lead that change.

A few of our first partners have already been announced.

KPMG's network of firms is partnering with Light to bring agentic finance to clients across more than 140 countries.

GoGlobal is bringing Light together with its local accounting, tax and regulatory expertise across more than 85 countries.

BDO, CFGI and Amesto have joined too.

And there are plenty more announcements to come.

What's been most exciting for me isn't just the names. It's how quickly the conversations have moved from "What is agentic finance?" to "How do we bring this to our clients?"

That's a pretty big shift. And I think we're only at the beginning.

Why we're doing this

For years, finance teams have been promised automation. But they've still spent far too much time doing the work themselves.

That's changing.

Agents can now take on work that used to consume entire days: invoicing, coding, reconciliations, the close.

And as that becomes the normal way to run finance, a whole new kind of work opens up for the firms supporting those teams.

Helping clients make the move. Setting up the right workflows. Putting the right controls in place. Making sure the agents keep doing what they're supposed to do.

It's a huge opportunity for partners.

We don't think every company is going to figure this out on its own. Nor should they have to.

We want the firms that already know those businesses to be the ones helping them get there.

And we want to give those firms everything they need to succeed.

Jonathan Sanders, CEO of Light

“The move to agentic finance is already happening. But technology alone won't get companies there. They'll need people they trust to help them make that move, and that's exactly where our partners come in. We're building this programme to help them lead it.”

Jonathan SandersCEO, Light

What you get as a Light partner

We've tried to keep the programme practical.

The goal isn't to give you a partner badge and a folder full of PDFs. It's to help you get comfortable with Light, bring it to your clients, and build a real business around it.

Here's what's available from day one:

  1. A clear path to get started. Join the programme, sign your agreement and choose how you want to work with Light, whether that's advising, implementing, building or reselling.
  2. Everything you need to get up to speed. Access to our partner portal, 24 training videos, product documentation, sales decks and resources you can use with clients.
  3. Your own Light sandbox. A full environment to explore, build demos and get hands-on with the product before taking it to a client.
  4. Agent certification. Training through our AI Academy to help your team learn how to deploy, monitor and manage agents.
  5. Deal registration and co-selling. Register opportunities, track your pipeline and work directly with our team on the right deals.
  6. An actual person to work with. Every partner gets a named partner manager at Light. Someone who knows your business, picks up the phone and helps you make things happen.

We'll keep adding to the programme as we grow, and a lot of that will come directly from feedback from our partners.

Come build with us

I genuinely think we're at the start of a big change in how finance teams operate.

In a few years, having agents handle the day-to-day work of finance won't feel particularly remarkable. It'll just be how things are done.

The interesting question is who helps companies get there.

We think our partners will play a massive role in that. And we want to work with the firms that see the opportunity now.

So if you're an accounting or advisory firm, systems integrator, technology partner, investor, reseller, bank or payment provider, I'd love to hear from you.

Apply to join the Light Partner Programme.

My team and I personally review every application.

Looking forward to building this with you.

Michael
