The Home page is Light's landing dashboard. It summarises your organisation's financial position and pending work as soon as you log in.
What widgets does the Home page show?
The Home page displays a set of widgets in a two-column layout: Card accounts, Tasks, and Balance by bank accounts. Each widget is permission gated, so Light shows you the ones your role covers and your Home page reflects what's relevant to you.

What does the Card accounts widget show?
The Card accounts widget gives you a live view of every active card account:
- Account name
- Number of active cards
- Available funds
Click a row to navigate to the account detail page. Use the Add funds button on any row to see wire transfer instructions for adding money to your account. The See all cards button navigates to the full cards list.
What does the Tasks widget show?
The Tasks widget shows your pending tasks assigned to you, with Title, Related to, and Created at columns, sorted by creation date. Click any row to open the task detail drawer and act on it.
What does the Balance by bank accounts widget show?
The Balance by bank accounts widget shows your total cash balance across all bank accounts and card accounts as a donut chart, with a breakdown per account sorted by balance. Balances are converted to your company's base currency, so multi-entity organisations see one consistent number. Card account balances shown here are queried live. The widget also displays a Last updated time, but that reflects your most recent bank-transaction sync, not the live card balances, so the two numbers can be current as of different moments. The Bank reconciliation button navigates to the bank reconciliation page, and appears for users with reconciliation access.
How is the Home page layout controlled?
The Home page layout is fixed, and widget visibility follows your access rights. Every user's Home page therefore reflects exactly what their role allows them to see in Light.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Home page updated in real time?
Card balances are queried live. The Balance by bank accounts widget also shows a Last updated time, but that reflects your last bank-transaction sync, not the live card figures, so the two aren't necessarily on the same clock.
Can I customise which widgets appear on my Home page?
Widget visibility follows your access rights, and the layout is the same for every user. To change what appears on your Home page, ask an admin about your role.
Who can see all account balances on Home?
The Balance by bank accounts widget is visible to company admins and auditors. The Bank reconciliation button within it appears for users who also have reconciliation access.
