Apple Pay and Google Pay

Adding your Light corporate card to Apple Pay or Google Pay makes it easy to pay with your phone or smartwatch at stores, restaurants, and anywhere contactless payments are accepted.

Apple Pay (iPhone and Apple Watch)

  1. Open the Light app and go to Cards
  2. Find your Light card—both physical and virtual cards can be added

  • Hold your watch near the payment reader
  • Authenticate if needed
  • Payment is processed instantly

Apple Pay works with both physical and virtual Light cards—it's just a digital version for convenience.

Google Pay (Android)

Adding your Light card to Google Pay is done manually through the Google Wallet app:

  2. Open the Google Wallet app on your Android device
  3. Tap Add to Wallet and choose Payment card
  4. Enter your Light card details

Using Google Pay at Stores

With Android Phone:

  • Google Pay automatically detects and processes the payment

With Android Watch:

Google Pay works everywhere contactless payments are accepted.

What You Should Know

  • Same card, same limits: Using Apple Pay or Google Pay doesn't change your spending limit or how your company tracks expenses
  • Receipts still required: After making a payment, you still need to attach receipts in Light for your finance team
  • Contactless payments: Both Apple Pay and Google Pay use secure contactless technology—your actual card number isn't shared with the merchant
  • Mobile security: Your payment information is protected by your phone's security (Face ID, Touch ID, or PIN)

Removing from Apple Pay or Google Pay

If you need to remove your Light card from Apple Pay or Google Pay:

  1. Go to your device's wallet or payment settings
  2. Find your Light card
  3. Select Remove Card

You can always re-add it later—through the Light app for Apple Pay, or through the Google Wallet app for Google Pay.
