Commonwealth Payroll & HR is where your people records live, and Light reads them straight from it, so the ledger knows who is employed where without anyone maintaining a second list.

It syncs the people too: the directory, the manager hierarchy, departments and employment records. That is what lets payroll cost land on the right entity, cost centre and dimension automatically, rather than through a mapping spreadsheet somebody has to remember to update.

Nothing changes about how your people actually get paid: Commonwealth Payroll & HR still runs the payroll. Light only reads what came out of it and writes the accounting, so finance stops waiting on a report and payroll stops fielding questions about the ledger.
