This Growth Marketer role is focused on…
Building a trusted brand that positions Light as the modern alternative to outdated ERPs, convincing multinational tech companies to replace 20+ year-old systems and fragmented finance point solutions.
Creating thought leadership content that resonates with forward-thinking CFOs and finance leaders who are frustrated with their existing tech stack.
Executing innovative community-building initiatives that generate high-quality MLQs (Marketing Qualified Leads) beyond traditional paid media, newsletters, and lead magnets.
Designing and implementing trust-building customer journeys that showcase our ability to consolidate payments, virtual cards, expense management, and core financials into one seamless platform.
Developing creative, unconventional marketing campaigns that differentiate Light from legacy ERP providers and single-function finance tools.
…and how you fit into the team:
Your main mission is to disrupt the status quo in financial operations software. Based in-office in London, this role requires you to think unconventionally, challenge traditional B2B SaaS marketing approaches, and build genuine trust with skeptical finance leaders. We need someone who can turn "impossible migration" objections into enthusiastic adoption.
This is a GTM role with direct accountability for generating quality MLQs that convert to pipeline and ultimately revenue.
You'll work with a small and stellar team with a deep understanding of the market who has done this before.
Your qualifications could be:
3-5 years of proven success in B2B marketing with experience building trust in complex, high-consideration purchase decisions.
Trust Building: You excel at creating authentic connections that break down resistance to change in risk-averse departments like finance.
Challenger Thinking: You've successfully bypassed traditional marketing channels to reach prospects in innovative, attention-grabbing ways.
Community Cultivation: You've built engaged communities around complex B2B products that generate organic word-of-mouth and referrals.
Thought Leadership Development: You transform product features into compelling visions of the future that inspire finance leaders to take action.
Content-to-Conversion Mastery: You create content that doesn't just educate but actually drives qualified leads that sales can convert.
Bonus points:
Experience marketing to finance departments or challenging entrenched ERP/finance systems.
Event Strategy: You've designed and executed unconventional events that generated MLQs from hard-to-reach decision-makers.
Customer Advocacy: You've developed successful customer advocacy programs that leverage social proof to build trust.
Category Design: You understand how to position new solutions in ways that make legacy options appear obsolete.
